How to choose a hyperbaric chamber

A practical six-step buyer's guide to selecting a hyperbaric chamber: pressure, chamber type, size and capacity, oxygen delivery, what's included and OEM options.

Buying a hyperbaric chamber comes down to six decisions. Work through them in order and you will land on the right model without second-guessing. This guide covers each step and links to the CONSIDER range that fits.

1. Decide your target pressure first

Pressure (ATA) drives everything else. 1.3–1.5 ATA soft chambers suit home wellness; 2.0 ATA hard-shell or professional soft systems suit clinics and experienced users. If that is unfamiliar, start with ATA pressure explained.

2. Match chamber type to your space

Soft chambers fold and self-install, ideal for homes and small studios. Hard-shell systems are fixed installations for clinics. Multiplace chambers maximize throughput where space allows. Our soft vs hard-shell guide compares the two in depth.

3. Check size, capacity and comfort

Consider interior length for taller users, sitting versus lying posture, and whether you need room for two adults, a caregiver or several clients at once. A spacious sitting cabin like the COSE15 suits longer sessions, while double and wheelchair models such as the COSW14 fit two or allow direct wheelchair access. For a deeper look, see choosing chamber size and capacity.

4. Confirm the oxygen delivery

A complete soft-chamber system includes an all-in-one machine that combines the air compressor and oxygen concentrator, delivering up to 93% oxygen through a mask. Check flow rate and purity — our oxygen concentrator guide explains what to look for.

5. Confirm what's included

  • The chamber and its internal frame
  • An all-in-one oxygen unit (up to 93%)
  • Mask, accessories and a pressure gauge
  • Installation guidance, commissioning and training
  • Warranty and lifetime technical support
Ask for the full inclusions list in writing before ordering, so there are no hidden extras after delivery.

6. Consider OEM and after-sales

If you are a distributor or clinic building a brand, confirm OEM branding, custom colors, multilingual manuals, warranty and lifetime support. Our OEM & ODM sourcing guide covers what can be customized and how ordering works.
